Mushon Zer-Aviv () of Public Knowledge Workshop and Tin Geber () of the Engine Room - OKFestival Interview [ 16:19 ] Play Now | Play in Popup | Download
In this interview, I speak with Mushon Zer-Aviv (, www.mushon.com) of the Public Knowledge Workshop and Tin Geber (, at the Engine Room) of the Engine Room. We talk about a topic close to my heart – “Openwashing” and Can Open Data Go Wrong? As Mushon says, we should start having the conversation: “Open is good, now what?”
The link to the Etherpad of notes from their session “Can Open Data Go Wrong?” is here. Mushon and Tin have a lot to say on the subject – give a listen.

In addition to hosting the OKCast, I am a Ph.D. student in Youth Studies at the University of Minnesota. I study methods of making research to document injustice and resistance available to young people to create social change. My particular focus is on the political economy and ecology of data, including data collection, data use, data access/sharing, data economics, and the ideologies surrounding it.
