OpenEd 2014 - The Hubert Project and Open Educational Resources with Shannon Evans and Kate Connors [ 21:12 ] Play Now | Play in Popup | Download
Open Educational Resources, or OERs for short, were a big topic of conversation at OpenEd 2014. The Hubert Project at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs in Minnesota is building a repository of open resources for learning. They’ve got a great collection of resources. They also have a ton of ideas for how you can use these resources in your classrooms, workshops, or trainings, and even an open invitation to create resources with them.
I interviewed and Kate Connors as part of my coverage of OpenEd 2014. You can see more interviews here.

Editor & Host at The OKCast
In addition to hosting the OKCast, I am a Ph.D. student in Youth Studies at the University of Minnesota. I study methods of making research to document injustice and resistance available to young people to create social change. My particular focus is on the political economy and ecology of data, including data collection, data use, data access/sharing, data economics, and the ideologies surrounding it.
