Season #1 – Summer Break!

Dear listeners of the OKCast!

A quick note that we’re on a summer season break. Life’s been busy for everyone involved, and we’ve been a bit slow to produce new episodes. But more importantly – we’re trying to start working some new ideas at the OKCast, looking toward new formats and new ways of reporting on the amazing work happening around the world. So we’ve decided to call our work so far “Season 1”, and take a break to really focus on the re-visioning.

We’ve got several new interviews recorded and worry not – they will go live! But you’ll have to wait until later in the summer as we produce the next version of the podcast and begin “Season #2”.

In the mean time, take a listen to previous episodes. And if you want to help us produce some of the interviews we’ve got recorded – let me know!

In addition to hosting the OKCast, I am a Ph.D. student in Youth Studies at the University of Minnesota. I study methods of making research to document injustice and resistance available to young people to create social change. My particular focus is on the political economy and ecology of data, including data collection, data use, data access/sharing, data economics, and the ideologies surrounding it.
