OpenCon 2014 – Vladislav Dombrovskyy – Open Science and OpenCon Kyiv

In this interview from OpenCon 2014, I talk with Vladislav Dombrovskyy, the co-founder of open access publisher PROSTOScience, which publishes the IT and Economics journal. Vlad also helps organize OpenCon Kyiv in Ukraine. He talks about the challenges and impact of hosting OpenCon in Kyiv.

I study methods of making research to document injustice and resistance available to young people to create social change. My particular focus is on the political economy and ecology of data, including data collection, data use, data access/sharing, data economics, and the ideologies surrounding it.
